YearOne’s Ghost Works Garage has produced some truly amazing project cars over the last few years, and their latest 1973 Trans Am project is no exception to that trend. We recently found this video on YouTube that gives us an up-close look what YearOne calls the “Brewster McQ” Trans Am.
The name comes from the Brewster Green paint job, which was only available on 1973 models. The build also pays homage to the Brewster Trans Am in the 1974 cop action movie McQ, driven by none other than The Duke himself – John Wayne. The movie was never quite as popular as Bullitt or Dirty Harry, but was notable because it was the first time Wayne played a cop, as well as for the great car chases featuring the T/A. Also, it was the first movie to ever use an air cannon to launch a stunt car into a roll-over.
