The phrase “common sense” is about ready for a retool. You’d think that because it is “common” it’d be mostly universal, but this video shows that notion isn’t even close to the truth. To set the scene for you we venture to Mulholland Drive. The road is known for it’s variety of scenery in the wonderful city of Los Angeles. It is regarded to be one of the best driving roads in the country. What these particular drivers marvel over are the blind corners, which unlike “common sense” are exactly as they imply.
Unfortunately, some of us aren’t able to handle such a great driving road equally. We’re not your parents, we understand the unrelenting urge to romp on your ride a bit, but there is obviously a much safer time and place to do it. When we watch this near three-and-a-half minute long video, we see amateur sports car and commuter car drivers alike try and fail to take on a quite sharp turn over and over again.
Bike after bike barely escapes harm
A few times, we even see these buffoons nearly take out unsuspecting bike riders driving in the opposite direction. At the end of the video it doesn’t appear as if anybody were injured, so at least we have some entertainment for the night. However, if we were to offer up one piece of advice to all the wannabe Mario Andrettis in this video, we’d tell them to hang up the driving gloves or keep it on a track. A banged up car might hurt your ego, but if you take out somebody else we guarantee that you’ll have much more on your plate than that. Be safe, friends!
