We’ve seen it a dozen times or so, and it never ceases to amaze that people who don’t know how to properly drive a car are out showing off and then they show their lack of driving skills. To be honest, it’s easy to get caught up in the moment, and it’s easy to lose your composure and forget how to handle your car in a skid. But when you’re the one who brought the skid on, then perhaps you shouldn’t be trying to drive that way.
Our friend Bradley Nagel was out at the Vehicle Vault Cars and Coffee in Parker, Colorado, getting pictures and video of the cool cars at the scene. If Brad’s name sounds familiar, you might remember him bringing us video and pictures of the first ever Dodge Challenger Hellcat to get totaled. Today, he got a little more than he bargained for when a driver lost control in a Cobra and decided to pay Brad an up-close-and-personal visit.
We love fast cars, and we love burning rubber, but we have seen this type of scene above way too many times. When people get a little too overzealous and start romping on the skinny pedal, someone is bound to put their car into a curb, or a ditch, and this is how you get your local Cars & Coffee shut down.
So if you feel the need to show off, first you must possess the skills to do so. If you haven’t the skills, or if you haven’t had your musclecar very long (like this guy, we’re told) then it’s probably best to let someone else screw up their car so you can at least drive home thinking, “at least it wasn’t me.”
Not only does the driver have to be careful, but often times we see cars crash into the crowd and innocent bystanders sometimes get hurt. Please, people, we all know it’s fun but there is a time and a place for this and the video above shows the wrong time and place for the owner of this Cobra. Everyone was okay, except the Cobra which sustained a bit of damage, as you might guess.
Uh, yeah. He's headed right towards the cameraman. Not good, for anyone.
