We’ve been fans of Shift S3ctor’s Airstrip Attack events for a while now, ever since the first one we attended back in 2012. The premise is simple – roll racing on a shut-down runway – but the cars they draw range from stock exotics to jaw-dropping one of a kind monsters. This year’s Pikes Peak event was no exception, and this video shows what might be the wildest car we’ve seen so far at a Shift S3ctor event.

This Cadillac CTS-V has been heavily modified, with an iron-block 408 LS stuffed with 20-plus pounds of boost by a huge single 101mm turbocharger. Backing the engine is a built 4L80 automatic transmission, and the owner claims 1,170 horsepower to the tires. He keeps it pointed in the right direction, though, and takes on opponents ranging from a 900 horsepower Grand Cherokee, to an 850 horse BMW, and finally a 1,300 horsepower Supra.
With a claimed weight of 4,400 pounds across the scales and factory aerodynamics, it’s amazing how quickly this CTS-V hauls itself up to just shy of 180 miles an hour. Now, turn up the sound, sit back, and enjoy listening to that big snail spool…
