Look up the term sexy in a Thesaurus you find descriptive words such as seductive, alluring, voluptuous and toothsome. This fantastic Mustang offered by Vanguard Motor Sales of Plymouth Township, Michigan fits all of those descriptions and much more. But do yourself a favor. Take a look at the YouTube video Vanguard produced that chronicles all of the cool details included in this great little resto-mod.
This seductive and alluring version of Ford’s iconic “secretary’s car” is as far removed from it’s original concept as Marilyn Monroe was from Norma Jean Baker. Both were beautiful but only one had the VaVa Voom! Photos by Vanguard
The curved lines of the stock 1967 Mustang are voluptuously enhanced by the expertly applied body kit on this car. The glossy black paint would let you know quickly if there were imperfections in the bodywork. Fortunately, it is easy to see that there are none to be seen!

Toothsome is not a term often used today when describing something as sexy. However when you look under the hood, you become distinctly aware that this Mustang definitely has teeth! Twin Paxton superchargers grace the engine compartment and feed a Ford 306 crate motor. The air charge generated blows through two Holley 600 CFM carburetors and fills the combustion chambers of a set of GT-40 heads. Vanguard estimates that the horsepower generated by this combination to be in excess of 500.
A Hughes automatic transmission with overdrive passes all that power to the 9 inch Ford rear end. A heavy-duty four-link suspension and four wheel disc brakes manage the connection to the asphalt.

While the Vanguard offered Mustang is not an “Eleanor” twin, she certainly shows a family resemblance. There is no “go-baby-go” option button to push but with twin superchargers under the command of your right foot, you don’t really need it!
