October is finally upon us and that means another month dedicated to bringing awareness to the terrible diagnosis of breast cancer. And just like in years past, Chevrolet has stepped up once again to celebrate those individuals who have successfully conquered the disease with the help of famed NASCAR drivers Danica Patrick and Kasey Kahne. Check out the events of the annual Breast Cancer Survivor Day at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the video above.

For the last few years, Chevrolet has partnered with the American Cancer Society and their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative. Since 2011, the manufacturer has raised $2.2 million for the cause.
As part of their partnership with the American Cancer Society, Chevrolet also created a special pace car dedicated to breast cancer awareness and last weekend, breast cancer survivors were treated to laps around Atlanta Motor Speedway with special guest drivers Casey Kahne and Danica Patrick behind the wheel.
Bringing awareness to breast cancer is only half the battle. Those who survive or are fighting against the disease should be celebrated and Chevrolet has brought a special chance to do so for many survivors over the last couple of years.
To top it off, Danica Patrick’s GoDaddy sponsor and the Public Interest Registry have also stepped in this year, making a $50,000 donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
In all, it’s been a great start to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month for both survivors and research supporters!
