SEMA 2012: SSBC Brakes Develops The Ultimate Brake Kits For Mustangs

As Mustang enthusiasts, we typically look for all of the latest high performance parts to attach to our incredible machines. Everything from superchargers, turbos, and nitrous kits, along with intake and camshaft upgrades are some of the more common elements in building the ultimate street/strip late-model pony car.

SSBC’s 13-inch front and 11-inch rear are perfect all-round performance brake system, but they can arrange a system for your driving skill and vehicle’s performance level. -Bill Cummings

Many of us overlook our braking system, and that’s why experts like Stainless Steel Brake Corporation (SSBC) has been catering to the Mustang aftermarket for over 25 years, and builds some of the most impressive brake kits we have ever seen.

While at the SSBC display at SEMA this year, we spoke to Bill Cummings at Stainless Steel Brakes about their latest Mustang offerings. Bill showed us their various Mustang applicable brake kits that range from 1964-2012.

We asked for Bill’s recommendation, and he went on to say, “SSBC’s 13-inch front and 11-inch rear are perfect all-round performance brake systems, but they can arrange a system for your driving skill and vehicle’s performance level.” There are multiple rotor sizes, pad selections, caliper variations, and even shades of caliper colors to choose from.

If you’re looking for a combination of immense stopping power and a bit of “wow factor” from your SSBC brake kit, then you should invest in the 14-inch V8 calipers. They offer an 8-piston design that not only brings whatever car you’re driving in a hurry, but offers a lot of bling – especially if your using a set of 18-inch or larger wheel diameters.

So for all of your brake needs, check out SSBC, as they’ll help you select the perfect braking system that’s in your car’s future.
