While 41 inches high, 26 inches wide, and 51 inches long don’t sound like the optimal dimensions for a dream custom car, Perry Watkins built the special custom with a purpose in mind: to build the world’s smallest, street legal car. Taking an old coin operated kid’s ride called “Postman Pat,” Watkins created a micro car with all the appeal of a pedal car – and the size to match.

The Guinness Book of world has recognized the Watkins car as officially the smallest street legal car. Armed with a 150cc Shanghai go-kart engine with an automatic continuously variable transmission. The micro car tops at with a top speed of 40mph but has an unbelievable 70 miles per gallon rating. Enough to make a Prius blush.
The Postman Pat animated character from the British children television show, was shown using a Royal Mail van as he delivered the mail around Greendale. Postman Pat was the official representative for Royal Mail for several years, becoming popular with kids.
Watkins decided to change the look of the van to something more fierce and custom looking. The exterior results were spot on but the most amazing feature in the build has to be the working windshield wipers.
