You bet your sweet behind that there are! There are cool custom hot rods popping up all over the world, and in almost every country, no matter how remote, lurks true fans of American steel! Our RA feature video of the week, comes your way from the guys at Solo Media who visited this year’s first annual Inner City Muscle Car Show in Cape Town, South Africa.

This year you could hear the power and rumble of V8 engines overtaking Cape Town for the very first Inner City Muscle Car Show, hosted by Detroit Vintage Garage held last weekend (August 18th) in Heritage Square.

As you can tell by the video above, if you didn’t know that there was a full on roackabilly, hot rod, and muscle car following in South Africa, well you know now! The streets were over taken by both American and other “import” cars, trucks, and bikes of all kind; coming together to share their love and passion for the custom auto.

It was an all out grease your hair and pull out your leathers kind of weekend, as the locals poured into Heritage Square. There were even some cars and vendors that make us want to add this show to our hit list! You could even get inked by on-site tattoo artists, or just check out the stunning pin-up models touring the show grounds.

All in all, we’d say that love for American hot rods has over taken the world, and just maybe it’s what’s needed to bring us all just a little bit closer together!
