Spotted by Hot Rod Dirty’s, we stumbled across their fabulous find of this cool custom. Behold a 1949 Chevy C-10 3100 pickup that is slammed with power and aggression.
With the body as straight as an arrow, this short bed Chevy, nicknamed “The Dragon,” features cleared, protected, and buffed patina paint, which is a one-of-a-kind Dragon Green colorway. Powering this custom hot rod is GM Performance High-Output Deluxe V8 Crate Motor, which produces 330 horsepower, mated to a 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission and a posi-traction rearend.

The engine also includes custom valve covers and air cleaner, aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and power steering add a nice touch to the overall package. Essentially an old school truck with modern engineering aesthetics, this Chevy runs pristinely.
The truck sits on a modern Chevy S10 chassis, and includes an offset 18-inch front, 20-inch rear black chrome Coys Wheels that complement the unique paint job quite effectively. A four-wheel disc brake kit lets the truck stop on a dime, which is definitely a big upgrade from the original drum brake configuration.

Moving inside, the Tobacco Brown interior of this Chevy pickup is plush and beautiful. From the one piece headliner to the door and kick panels, everything is matching on this truck. A custom steering wheel and gauges fit the truck just right. The addition of the CD player and air conditioning make this Chevy a comfortable ride as well.
What are your thoughts of this truck? Would you have done it any different? Feel free to share your opinions below.
