This kid looks like he’s already got it figured out… Unfortunately, the Power Wheels Corvette is only a single seater, despite the fact that it is clearly a superconducting chick magnet.
The new 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray is on the way to dealerships across the country, and soon we’ll be seeing them on the roads and in driveways nationwide. We’ll see them on the sidewalks, too, because Fisher-Price, the people who along with LEGO pretty much built our childhoods here at Power Automedia, is rolling out a Power Wheels version of the new Corvette.
For an estimated retail price of just $275, parents can live vicariously through their 3-and-up, under-65-pound kids with what Fisher-Price says will be the fastest car in the Power Wheels lineup. The Corvette offers two forward speeds (3 and 6 MPH) and one reverse (just 3 MPH, so no Rockford Files J-turns, unfortunately), Power Lock® brakes, and authentic styling, though we did notice that the Stingray badges aren’t in the right place on the car in the photos…
Fisher-Price says the car will be in stores everywhere in September, and you can preorder on Walmart.com starting in July. And yes, we have already reached out to Fisher-Price’s parent company Mattel’s marketing department to request one for a full review and test… Stay tuned!
