It is hard to believe, but SEMA 2012 is almost upon us. Yup, it is that magical time of year when automakers, tuners, and aftermarket specialists converge on Las Vegas. While we always look forward to what the independent shops bring to the table, the major OEMs generally dominate the show floor with massive displays and one-off concept vehicles built without budgetary constraints.
Even though SEMA is still over a month away, Mopar decided to get a jump on the event by releasing a series of sketches “previewing” the rides they’ll bring to the SEMA show floor. Details are scarce, but from what little we’ve seen, Mopar isn’t holding back.
The five sketches make it obvious what cars will be joining the Mopar stand, though not what the “theme” is. Among the participants is the new Dodge Dart, the Dodge Charger, the Fiat 500 (most likely the fast “Abarth” version), a Jeep Wrangler, and a Ram pickup. What the modifications are, we just don’t know, but from the looks of things these Mopar-ized automobiles will be pretty slick.
We don’t want to draw any conclusions, so we’ll let you draw your own from these pictures. But how about a wishlist? We’d love to see a faster version of the new Dodge Dart, and seeing customized Dodge Chargers never gets old. Jeep is sure to pack in the Trail Rated goodness, and the Ram pickup may either be riding high, or slammed to the ground. Either way, we’ll like it.
But what will Mopar due with that perky Italian Fiat? Can they make it cool enough for SEMA?
